Time to visit the C15 and make a go at the clutch and the engine box. I started but only had an hour or so. I need a 46mm spanner to get the final drive off the shaft. On reading this is the same as the sprint. I have concerns about the kickstart return spring.
Monday 22nd July 2019
Stripped the T140 - hot weather prevents progress.
Tuesday 23rd July 2019
Simon breaks down with clutch cable snapping at the nipple. So carb tuning progresses. I’ve upped the B175 main jet from 180 to 190 and I’ve another 6mph on top end. Not that speed is anything to mark a bikes performance, or reliability. But it definitely is happier cruising at 55 with its top end just over gps 70 ( originally they did 66 ) no other mods other than Bones Cdi3 WARNING - messing with a carb can seriously damage your engine - do not simply swap jets around. Read manuals and completely understand how carbs work.
Wednesday 24th July 2019
190 jet fitted to the B175 test run seems okay.
Thursday 25th July 2019 ( 37 degrees )
B175 to the Elm - thunderstorms predicted, on 190 jet, and 30:1 mix - lets see if it nips up on the years hottest day.
Saturday 27th July 2019
Enfiled tap arrived, did not fit. Back to drawing board. Managed to start the mini moto bike engine. Carb needs servicing.
