Saga of T140 seat placement is ongoing. I am making headway. Fustrating but only through my expectation that the seat would be bolt on and go. However adjustment of brackets and ensuring the rubber stops are placed onto the sub frame.
Took the B175 into light rain, tried to experiment with the Sat Nav. from the Optimate lead, didn't initially work. I will re-test when the weather improves. Idea being is that I end up with a plug and play motorcycle sat nav.
Crikey the heavens opened and I got soaked on the way home from the mill. Returned the B175 to the garage and smiled quietly at myself. Better a wet day on a motorcycle than any day in the office.
I need to sort the front brake cable, and adjust the rear brake on this machine. Failure will lead to disaster.

Rode the B175 down to the riverside park, taking several stellas with me for the scooter meet. Mozzys were biting, as ever plenty of laughs.
Friday 3rd July 2020
Met for a coffee in St. Ives, ride the ER5 down, then visited the garage to sort the B175 exhaust ring and two small bolts on the exhaust hanger. I was surprised to find it 1/4 Whitworth. Job done. I also tightened up the front engine bolts. Still need to sort the brake light.

Rode my D1 to Wistow, had a pint will Al, took a couple of photos, and POW - the head gasket went on my D1 hybrid. Fortunately I was rescued in quick time, and there was enough light to get the head off and diagnose the problem. Guess what I will be doing tomorrow.

Took a days holiday to sort the T140 US tank out. Fitted it, took it down the mill, then onto the Abbots Elm pub. Rain prevented me completing the job. Several small jobs left to do to complete. Would like to fit the US bars and all that entails as soon as I can. Its okay but a little akward riding. Seat is lovely. Need to sort the underside rubbers out.

Met Simon, we didn't ride far. Stopped for a coke at the Ferry Boat at Holywell, and dicussed bikes. Went on the T140 lovely short ride. In the afternoon I took a mate out on the back. Down to the river front in St. Ives. Sun was very harsh, not the best light to show my T140 in. I prefer dull light so I can lift the photo in Adobe PhotoShop. Photos Below.

Drove over to Petes House in Bury and spent the morning getting an engine start on his G2 CSR Matchless. Early 1960s. it initially barked, but we spent two hours kicking it over. In the end I called Andy Simpson and it was suggested that Pete might have timed it up wrongly by 180 degrees. We swapped the Boyer unit by simply rotating the timing circuit board of the Boyer 180 degrees. Once this happened Petes bike started fairly easily.
Late afternoon I had a short run with Simon on the T140 to the Ferry Boat at Holywell, but could not get a seat. We rode to the Marsh Harrier and bought incredibly expesive cokes. Sat Outside for a bit before I rushed back and went to a party in Huntingdon.
Sunday 19th July 2020
In Pursuit of Hapiness. Well I took the Er5 down to Hemingfords and tried to look for a suitable location for photographs for a phot session. Disaster, Myself and my cute passenger took a tumble in mud at very slow speed. As soon as I returned home I ordered a new indicator. This afternoon despite a sore wrist and aches after a tumble I am met Simon and Andy. Rode to the Green man at colne and put the world to rights. I was stung in the neck just before the pub. A lovely run out on the T140 with Simon.
Monday 20th July 2020
Pulled the D1 out of the Garage this morning and prepped it with a tripod and some spare bits for we are going to try and get Petes Matchless running a little better than Saturday. I have packed a spare plunger and inline fuel filter and a considerable length of fuel cable. Lets see how we get on. I have put the benbo tripod on the back as I intend to ride to the barn and take some photos.
Tuesday 21 July 2020
Rode to the WMCC on the T140 with Simon, a lovely evening. Marred by some stupidity at the club. But that will be sorted face to face with those responsible. Rev counter wont go past 3K will sort later in the week.
Wednesday 22nd July 2020
Spent the late morning at the garage. Sorting the T140 crank lock nut - replaced with new. Sorting some boxes and marking them up. Replaced the broken Kawasaki Indicator. Fitted the black fish tail to the D1 / D7 Hybrid. In the evening took it for a spin to the Three HorseShoes Pub in Wistow. Cancelled the event. and then took some pics by the bench and made a mockup of the Bantam Magazine.
Thursday 23rd July 2020
Rode out to the crashed Spitfire site near to the Fenland posts at Holme. Was persuaded to take L on the back. Not sure about carrying anyone on the back. Think she enjoyed herself.
Sunday 26th July 2020 - The "Cancelled" Bike Show.
After much cuffufal the Bike Meet that was cancelled I attended. I over advertised the event, and this made people nervous. I will not hold another social media coordinated event at the pub due to many factors. Not least the car park is full with 60 bikes, and the egress and exits are dangerous on the main road. Concil is being listened to.
Tuesday 28th July 2020
Sorted several jobs on the B175. Namely a bad connection to the brake light switch. Then replaced the brake switch itself, removed the top box. I still need to measure and fit the correct bolts. Now functional lights for the coming nights that are already noticeably drawing. Early evening I took my T140 to simons and was taught how to set the tappets. We also checked the head, and replaced the O rings on the tappet shaft. Bike now has compression. Plugs were definately not sooty as i expected. I will check again soon.
Wednesday 29th July 2020
Took the D1 green laning and explored the old Photo Factory. Lovely evening had to sort the headlamp shell out.
Thursday 30th July 2020
A Really hot day, focused on the B175. The ignition switch was re- routed with a new cable to use the right side switch. Might just trick a few people. Presently the key does fall out and I have had to replace to locks because of this. Battery cover and outer shell needs sorting as well as it is off square. Videos have emerged on Social media of me riding a scooter - ye gods !!!
